Not a lot of movies are vital. THE POST is.
Plays like the second installment of a mediocre trilogy.
A flat-out glorious, larger-than-life MUSICAL (capitals required) and proud of it.
A beautiful recreation of a timeless classic.
Branagh pays great attention to the overall ugliness of this crime and the sadness and loneliness that follows Poirot.
This historical Trump allegory with a better ending benefits from two excellent lead performances.
Paul Preston & Justin Bowler recall their shenanigans at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, July 20-22. Truly, the most wonderful time of the year.
One of the more sober and dark summer films to hit the cinema in a long while. But it’s effective.

Few scenes fly by without the jokes coming fast and funny. There are too many comedies today with missed opportunities and Feig and McCarthy don’t let any of those moments pass without delivering something hilarious.
Hollywood makes quick work of cannibalizing sister medias in order to shorten the costly creative process.
This movie is a perfect example of what happens when no one’s career is actually on the line.
With a thumping dub-step soundtrack, planes performing harrowing maneuvers, and requisite nasty enemies (Nazis, in this case), the trailers for “Red Tails” have clearly been geared to pump up visceral excitement in (likely) largely young and male audiences.
If Andy Serkis is nominated for an award, and for the record, I think he’d be fully deserving of one, hang on to your seats.
