It’s an interesting concept to see the original world the Brothers’ Grimm imagined up on the screen, but it’s coupled with dialogue that’s not very special and devoid of any real charisma.
There’s a common, poorly-conceived opinion that adapting a TV show is a lowbrow indication that Hollywood has run out of ideas.
“Well, it was fun. You know, you turn your brain off and it’s a good popcorn movie.” Since when is THAT enough?
Is it wicked cathartic to watch Boston’s Finest Thomas Craven settle the score? HELL YES!
