Showcast Episode 22: Previews of “Escape Plan” and “The Fifth Estate” lead to another round of YouTube movie reviews. The Movie Guys also welcome three guests – the great Steve Guttenberg calls the show, plus “Quick to Duck” director Robin Mountjoy in studio, and the one and only Carrie White talks about her new anti-bullying campaign on the eve of the release of her new film, “Carrie”.
I am a fan of director James Wan. He is a great young director with a particularly good eye for horror, a great sense for creating tension, and knows how to scare an audience. Unfortunately, he doesn’t demonstrate ANY of his talents in “Insidious 2”.
Showcast Episode 17: A preview of “Insidious: Chapter 2” sparks another round of Creepy Kids Singing and after a preview of “The Family”, a surprise guest risks his life to talk about all the films that are in witness protection. Plus, improv legend and podcast host Dave Razowsky joins us, and at one point rants about “Lee Daniels’ The Butler” to where we named this Showcast episode after his rant.
(“Lee Daniels’ The Butler” spoilers abound)
